HOW TO BE A SPACEMAN

How to be a SpacemanIn the days when space was still more of a dream than a conundrum…

When an adventure on a booster rocket was more of an ambition than to master the ability to manipulate Forex spreadsheets…

When the urge to find new worlds fired the imagination more than obtainign a mortgage at reasonable rates with a good deal on home contents insurance thrown in…

For space cadets everywhere, this collection of Space Age poetry and prose is for you.

KITCHEN CONVERSATIONS

kitchen Conversations 1600x2400pxLife may be a helter skelter or it may be a space elevator.

Perhaps, it is just what you make of it.

A number of years ago I existed stranded in a large town in middle England and broken and all out of love and smouldering. I was anchored to a small apartment with shared toilet and wash facilities, deep in the old town of the downtown of a fuzzy industrious but out of place chunk of British Urban Angst. It was the front room of an Edwardian villa on a hill and in the old streets around  it I would cruise and lurk and wonder and hope and seek The Numbness.

The poems in this collection spring from that period and chart a time of dizzy torpor and discovery. Outside the window fellow urbanauts would climb and descend the hill from hotspot to hotspot. Arguments would be had, bottles would be smashed, kisses and gropes would be claimed, bins would be torched, windows would be broken, burgers and kebabs would be eaten, herons would nest in the nearby park, lakes of wine would slosh and buckets of spirit would sneer.

So step inside the book of wayward tales, raise a glass, meditate on the merits of barely caged chaos and enjoy…

MYTHOPOETIC

PrintThe world, not so much as the author’s oyster, but more like his knarled and bitten pearl…

This is a collection of poems inspired by his obsession with survival and the search for Life on Planet Earth from London to Paris to Dalmatia to the US where he worked hard at giving a whole new dimension to the concept of anglo-trash.

So why not step inside and share tales of…

…angst in the US mid-west when a numbed dalliance with amateur drug running leads to the death of a potentional lover…

…being down and out in Brooklyn making ends meet hustling and carousing and dreaming of a move down the coast to where the wild horse run…

…working and drinking in London’s plush West End, living seedily south of the river,
selling art in the hurricane’s eye of pretension and trying to think with your head rather than groin but, of course, failing…

…providing remedies for inflated ego’s in the southern California sun and finding out love cannot be found in artifice…

…trying to make mescalin-sense and shape of reality whilst careering through the Nevada desert with two fellow, similarly confused narconauts…

…nursing the wreckage of a relationship in the unknowing tranquility of the Balkans before war breaks out…

…dancing through the back streets of Paris with New Worlders meetng the Old World in a collision of cultural confusion and musing on love lost and whether it may be found again, perhaps just down the street…

These and many other poetic tales are woven through this cosmopolitan collection of Brinkversian experience. So why not have a look and experience the vibe for yourself.

Coming soon a print omnibus of all three collections…
